Smart Substrate Sensor

By their nature the processes that control the assembly of nanoscale building blocks, e.g. nanocrystals, biomolecules, are difficult to monitor. Typically, large, expensive and slow measurement tools are needed to determine what is happening during assembly. In this project we are seeking ways to engineer nanostructures into an assembly substrate that will enable rapid and accurate diagnostic measurements to be performed during manufacturing.
